While Engelbert Humperdinck prepares for Eurovision glory in Azerbaijan
tonight, the great and the good of Leicester will be cheering him on
back at home.
Kasabian frontman Tom Meighan told the Mercury he was backing Enge.
The rock star from Blaby said: "I'm probably going to watch it, I reckon, it's unbelievable isn't it?
"For Engelbert and Leicester, it's great. He's a '60s star, ain't he, and you can't mess with that."
Tom said he thought the song was "all right", but that Enge might
suffer as a result of Eurovision politics. "Everyone's against us,
aren't they, so you just don't know," he said.
